Acoustic Sound Absorption

medium

acoustic hood - top: supply fresh air below: exhaustion dirty air

The possibility to decrease the acoustic sound intensity within the room, in which it develops, occurs by sound absorption.

Acoustic sound absorption means the deficit of sound energy by the reflection on the bounding surface of a room (walls, ceilings, floors) or on the objects or people in the room. The deficit of sound energy happens mainly by the transformation of sound energy into heat energy.

The illustration shows exactly the functioning of an acoustic sound dome. Even though the acoustic sound source an the reciptiant, on behalf of the construction of the system, have to be in the same room, the excessive sound is 'swallowed' by use of acoustic sound absorption sheet of rockwool.

Acoustic sound absorption, for example, makes it possible that you can hear a conversation between two people much louder in an empty room than in a furnished one.
